Attention DART Riders, we want to hear from you about DART's new crosstown route!

Posted on February, 20 2018

DART was notified in January 2018 that it was the recipient of a grant through the Iowa Clean Air Attainment Program that will be used to create a new crosstown route that travels east and west on Euclid/Douglas between Merle Hay Mall and E 42nd Street. We have heard from many DART riders who say the ability to travel on a route on this corridor, without having to transfer buses at DART Central Station would be helpful to them.

Now, as DART begins work on planning this route to have it operating in August 2018, we want to hear from riders on how they might use it. DART riders and community members are asked to complete this survey to help us create the route that will most benefit riders.

You can help DART plan the most efficient route for our riders by letting us know how you would use this route, including:

  • Detailing where you are traveling from or to
  • Sharing how you are currently using routes in the area
  • Detailing how many transfers and alternate modes of transportation are currently needed to get you to destinations in this area.

It is very important that DART hear from our riders about what route and service would be most useful to them. Riders can either fill out the digital survey now or can submit comments or request a paper survey from DART Customer Service by visiting DART Central Station, calling 515-283-8100 or by emailing dart@ridedart.com.
