The City of Des Moines will reopen 7th Street in downtown Des Moines on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 following its closure due Younker’s building fire in March. Effective Friday, Dec. 19:
- DART buses will return to 7th Street routing.
- DART detours will be removed from Local Routes 1, 3, 4, 11, 14, 15, 17, 51, 52, 60 and the Link Shuttle.
- Temporary stops on Mulberry Street between 8th and 9th streets will be removed.
- Because not all lanes of traffic will be reopen at this time, Bus Stop 626 at 7th and Walnut Streets will remain closed until further notice. The last bus stop before DART Central Station will be Bus Stop 618 at 7th and Locust.
