This fall, with the introduction of the MyDART Tools, we’ve made riding the bus a piece of cake. The icing on the cake: free rides on all DART Local, Express, Flex and On Call services during Try Transit Week Oct. 5-11, 2014.
During Try Transit Week – in addition to providing free rides – DART will hold events throughout Greater Des Moines to educate riders about the value of MyDART Tools and encourage the public to learn more about the benefits of riding DART.
Monday, Oct. 6
3 to 6:30 p.m. – Southridge Farmers Market (1111 E Army Post Rd, Des Moines)
3:30 to 5 p.m. – Altoona Chamber of Commerce event at Altoona Walmart (3501 8th St. SW)
Tuesday, Oct. 7
1:30 to 2:30 p.m. – Rider Appreciation at DART Central Station (620 Cherry St., Des Moines)
4 to 5:30 p.m. – Grab’n’Go at Grimes Walmart (2150 E 1st St.)
Wednesday, Oct. 8
3 to 5:30 p.m. – Rider Appreciation along Grand Avenue and High Street
Thursday, Oct. 9
4 to 5:30 p.m. – Grab’n’Go at Clive Dahl’s (15500 Hickman Rd.)
Friday, Oct. 10
10 a.m. to Noon – Rider Appreciation at DART Central Station (620 Cherry St., Des Moines)
