Beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, DART will provide two daily bus trips twice a week on Tuesday and Thursdays between the Deer Ridge Apartment Complex on SW 63rd St and Creston Avenue in Des Moines to the Walmart in Windsor Heights. DART has often heard of the need for transit service in this area, and approved this bi-weekly shuttle service as a temporary option in January 2018. While the service operates, DART will continue to work with Deer Ridge as well as other community partners to identify a long-term solution to serve this area.
The shuttle bus will pick riders up and drop them off at the front entrance of Building 6081 at Deer Ridge and at the DART bus stop near the Burger King in the Walmart parking lot. Riders are asked to arrive at their pick-up location 5 minutes before the bus is scheduled to leave.

The cost to ride the shuttle is as follows:

Riders must pay each time they get on the bus.
