DART will offer free rides on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021. Polls in Polk County will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., but DART will offer free rides all day long on all Local Routes, Express Routes and DART On Call routes. DART Paratransit riders can request a free ride to or from their polling location on election day by calling 515-283-8136.
Please note that due to a TSA mandate, masks are required on DART buses and at DART Central Station. Masks are available for riders on all DART buses.

Riders can turn to their county auditor office to identify where their polling location is. Polk County information is available online here.
Once you know where to vote, use the MyDART Trip Planner available here and through the MyDART app to learn which routes you should take to vote. This information is also available online using Google Maps.
DART to the Polls
Free rides will be offered throughout our service day on all Local, Express and On Call Routes, which is from roughly 5 a.m. through approximately 11 p.m. Polls in Polk County are open between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. DART will also offer free rides to polling locations for Paratransit riders who call and schedule their ride in advance.
