DART is providing late-night service on Route 15 to take you to and from the Riverview Music Festival. The festival is Saturday, September 4, 2021, and buses will run at an increased frequency, every 15 minutes.

Stop by the MidAmerican Energy Building at the Iowa State Fair on Friday, August 20 to learn more about Iowa’s first electric buses. Fairgoers can tour the bus, participate in bus themed coloring activities and get a mini replica bus (while supplies last).

Riders will notice that DART made some minor changes to its website to update its web platform and improve the ease of use of the site. The changes DART made that will impact riders are described below.

New Menu

DART updated its menus from “on hover” navigation to “on click” navigation. This means that riders will now need to click on the heading they want to access to view a drop-down menu of options. This change improves accessibility of the site and removes issues riders were having accessing pages and links under the menus.

DART is creating a new long-term transit plan that will determine how its service can adapt to meet the evolving transportation needs in central Iowa. We recognize that even though we have been piloting new services to improve access and the overall experience using public transit, there are still transportation gaps and challenges keeping people from getting where they want, and need, to be. As part of these efforts, DART collected a first round of feedback from central Iowans in April 2021.
