Whether or not you use our services, we want to know what you think of DART. This fall, we are partnering with ETC Institute to measure customer satisfaction and community perception.
Survey for DART riders
DART riders, we want to know what you think, so that we can continue to make improvements and provide the best service possible.
- Riders of DART’s Fixed Route service (Local, Express and Flex Routes) may be asked to complete a print survey onboard DART buses beginning Oct. 8, 2018. Survey collectors will choose a random sample of DART riders to ensure we get a pool of respondents that reflect DART’s ridership.
- Riders of DART’s Paratransit service will receive letters after Oct. 8 with instructions on how to take a survey.
- Riders of DART’s RideShare service will receive an email after Oct. 8 with a link to an online survey.
Please know that you are not required to fill out a survey. However, doing so helps us identify what we are doing well and what we can improve.
Please also know that the survey collectors on board DART buses will randomly choose which riders to have complete the survey, so don’t worry if you aren’t selected. You can always reach out to DART with suggestions and comments on how our service fits your needs by emailing dart@ridedart.com or by calling 515-283-8100.
Survey for those who don’t ride DART
ETC will also survey people in our region who don’t currently ride DART. The results will reflect overall community perception of DART. This helps us understand if there are any changes we could make that would encourage more people to ride the bus, and helps us to identify what residents in the Greater Des Moines region want to see in its public transportation system.
ETC will mail these surveys in October 2018. In order to ensure this survey includes a diverse population of people from each of the communities DART serves, this survey will not be posted publicly online.

We would encourage our riders and members of the communities we serve to participate in our surveys. Doing so is a great way to help us ensure we are providing the service that you most want to see in your community!
