DART reducing access to DART Central Station

Posted: March 31, 2020

Beginning Wednesday, April 1, 2020, DART will temporarily reduce access to the lobby at DART Central Station. Because of this, most doors into the building will be locked, and riders who need to access the building will need to do so through the south doors that face the bus platforms.

Riders will be allowed to enter the lobby if they need to:

  • Speak with DART Customer Service,
  • Use the restrooms,
  • Wait for a transferring bus.

Riders who are waiting for a bus that is arriving soon are asked to wait on the appropriate platform.

These temporary restrictions will help DART and its riders to practice social distancing. Riders are encouraged to only ride DART buses for necessary trips, such as traveling to work, the grocery store or the pharmacy. Whenever possible, riders should remain at least 6 feet away from others, should wash their hands frequently and should avoid touching their face to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19.

More information about all the steps DART is taking as it continues dealing with COVID-19 are available on ridedart.com.
