DART riders and the public can receive their flu shot for this year’s flu season FOR FREE at DART Central Station. DART is partnering with Polk County Public Health to host a walk-in clinic to receive flu shots on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020.
Flu shot clinic details:
- When: Friday, Oct. 2, 2020 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Where: Empty café space at DART Central Station. (620 Cherry St.)
- What to bring: Health insurance card. Flu vaccines will also be available for free, or for purchase. The price of a flu shot if someone opts not to receive the free vaccine is $25 for the flu shot or $50 for the high dose shot (recommended for individuals 65 and older).
Appointments are not necessary to receive a flu shot. To participate in the clinic, please enter DART Central Station using the doors on the east side of the building, standing outside in a socially distanced line if necessary. After receiving a shot, please exit into the DART Central Station lobby area and exit the building using the doors on the south side of the building near the elevators. And remember, masks are required at DART Central Station. Flu shots are available for anyone ages 6 months or older.
