Ride DART Local, Express and On Call services for FREE on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019. Polls in Polk County will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., but DART will offer free rides all day long.
DART will donate three retired RideShare vans to nonprofit organizations, community groups or government agencies within DART’s service area this fall. Applications are due November 22.
To thank our riders and celebrate DART’s major service change effective Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019, DART will be offering free rides on all Local, Express and On Call services Oct. 13-19.
DART is seeking dedicated Express and Local Route riders to serve on the Transit Riders Advisory Committee (TRAC). Applications are being accepted now through Thursday, Oct. 31.
DART provided 253,217 rides during the 11 days of the 2019 Iowa State Fair—the highest number of rides provided since DART began offering the Park & Ride service in 2006.
As an Unlimited Access partner, Des Moines Public Schools (DMPS) contracts with DART to offer free rides to DMPS employees and middle and high school students. Learn more about the partnership.
Avoid traffic and the search for parking at the Fair - ride DART instead. Free parking is available at three, convenient locations and buses drop off at Fair entrances.
