Join us for our second annual DART Date Night on Valentine's Day. All DART Local and Flex Routes will be FREE starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, and continuing through end of service on Saturday, Feb. 14.

The next DART service change is effective Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015.

A winter storm warning is now in effective for Central Iowa. Snow accumulation of about 7" in the metro with a potential for 2-3" more on the way Sunday.

The City of Des Moines will reopen 7th Street in downtown Des Moines on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014. following its closure due Younker’s building fire in March.

For one day (Thursday, Dec. 11) during this giving season all cash collected on DART buses will be donated to the Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) Food Pantry Network.

The public will have a final chance to provide feedback on a new fare policy at a public hearing with DART Commission, the governing body of the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority. The public hearing begins at noon Tuesday, Dec. 2, in the Multimodal Room of DART Central Station, 620 Cherry Street.

DART will operate on modified schedules in observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays. Riders are advised to plan their trips accordingly.

DART sets dates for 10 How to Ride Training sessions in 2015. During these sessions, DART staff provides small group training to help individuals learn to ride the bus in Greater Des Moines.
