The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) recently upgraded 25 percent of its fleet with 27 new buses. The new buses have replaced older buses in DART’s fleet, some of which were up to 15-years-old.

DART will operate the new Local Route 10 servicing East University and Pleasant Hill beginning Monday, November 21, 2016. The Route 10 will be free to ride through December 31, 2016.
DART and the Public Art Foundation will unveil the latest public art bus wrap during Gallery Night in Valley Junction. The bus wrap features Iowa Artist Brent Holland.
Try a new route or go to a new destination during Try Transit Week, October 16 – 22, 2016. DART Local, Express, Flex and On Call buses will be free to ride during the week – no pass or cash needed, just hop on the bus.
DART will hold two public meetings on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, to gather input on a proposed new route that would operate between DART Central Station and Pleasant Hill along University Avenue.
