RAGBRAI cyclists and event goers will have an easy ride between their camp site to festivities in downtown Des Moines until midnight Tuesday, July 23, via the free-to-ride D-Line Downtown Shuttle.
The August meeting of the DART Commission has been cancelled. The October meeting of the DART Commission has been rescheduled to Tuesday, October 8. The October meeting will be held at its regular time and place, at 5 p.m. at DART Central Station.
Due to the Des Moines Arts Festival set up and event, DART buses will be required to detour Wednesday, June 26, through Sunday, June 30. Buses will return to regular route on Monday, July 1. Routes 11, 60, 98, 99 and the D-Line are affected.
The hours of the free-to-ride D-Line Downtown Shuttle will be extended to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, to take people to the Des Moines Symphony’s Yankee Doodle Pops concert.
DART will be hiring new operators immediately to enter training this summer. The additional operators are needed for DART to expand service Aug. 18, including later hours, more weekend hours and additional frequencies.
