The DART Commission voted unanimously to change to a new and more representative governance structure. The change came after a unanimous recommendation by an independent task force.
A public hearing will take place before DART’s Board of Commissioners votes on a recommendation to change its structure at its June 6 meeting. The public is invited, and encouraged, to attend the meeting to give their input on the recommendation before the Commission votes.
An independent task force has unanimously recommended a new and more representative governance structure for the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART), and the DART Commission is expected to vote on the recommendation June 6.
